Scholastic Action Shooting Program

The Scholastic Action Shooting Program is a fun and challenging speed shooting event sponsored by the Texas State Rifle Association Foundation. The competition series for Texas, called the Texas Youth Action Shootout, begins in October and ends in May at the State Championship. More information can be found at the links below.

OUR YOUTH PARTICIPATE IN THESE COMPETITIVE ACTION SHOOTING PROGRAMS

The SASP provides student athletes, ages elementary through college, with a supportive environment where shooting sports serve as catalysts for teaching life lessons and skills that emphasize positive character traits and citizenship values.

TYAS provides the opportunity for Texas youth and coaches to come together, practice safe firearm handling, have fun, work as a team in an competitive environment, socialize with other like-minded individuals around the state and build our Texas youth’s confidence in marksmanship.

SCSA’s mission is to promote safe, fair and fun participation in Steel Shooting competition, for members of all ages and skill levels, through effective leadership, education, communication and administration.

Wilco Shooting Sports Booster Club is a non-profit, volunteer led program offering instruction to youth on safety and marksmanship skills for both recreational and competitive purposes. Members are taught how to handle firearms and archery equipment responsibly for target practice, competition, hunting and are educated on respectful and responsible use of natural resources. They support the Williamson County 4-H Shooting Sports and other youth programs by raising funds, purchasing equipment & services, and providing volunteers for events and educational opportunities. .
